Hi, I’m Emma – parent, banking professional and founder of Pounds and Piggy Banks.

Like many of us, I left school with no money skills and learnt the hard way through debt, money mistakes, and 20 years working in finance. Along the way I turned my own money habits around, gained a degree in Financial Services and experience in teaching children about money mangagement in schools. I came to realise the real challenge wasn’t just learning about money myself – it was figuring out how to teach it to my kids.

With children now at 3, 10 and 22, I’ve lived the journey of teaching money at every stage. I created Pounds & Piggy Banks to share what I’ve learnt (and continue to learn!) so other parents can confidently give their children the financial head start we never had.
